NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE 2020
When Covid paralyzed the world, many patient communities were left with more fears, questions, and challenges then answers. Dr. Ahmet Uluer, the Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, decided to combat this with weekly Zooms that gathered the CF community for engagement, information, connection, and even laughter. The webcasts became part of a case study that showed reduced covid concerns such as medication supply and access to medical care, while self-reported resilience increased. An abstract was presented at NACFC in the fall of 2020, so other centers around the country could create their own programs to help at-risk communities. This video brought the 52+ webcasts to life for the audience.
